Ralph E. Anderson went to be with his Lord on October 8, 2022. He was born to Bernard & Lou (Richardson) Anderson on February 18, 1927 in Venice, IL.
He was a WWII veteran serving in the Navy then served during the Korean War in the Army Air Force.
He married Mary Frances Smith on March 29,1959 and she preceded him in death. On April 9, 2005, he married Belle E. Martin Anderson.
Ralph was a long time member of Granite City Suburban Baptist Church now Unity Baptist Church, where he served faithfully. He was a member of Senior Circle, a volunteer transporter at Gateway Regional Medical Ctr for twenty six years. Golf was his favorite pastime.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Harry E. Anderson and Robert Anderson, and his first wife Mary Frances and his second wife Belle Anderson.
Surviving are one niece, Kathy (John) Walker, five nephews; Mike (Robin) Anderson, Robert (Kathy) Anderson, Harry ( Gina) Anderson, Ben and Tony (Crystal) Anderson and 8 step-grandchildren.
Also surviving are his step-children; Cathy (Irvin) Schallenberg, Byron (Ruth Ann) Martin and Eldon E. Martin and many friends.
Visitation will be on October 29, 2022, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., at Sunset Hill Funeral Homes with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m., burial to follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Glen Carbon, IL.
