COLLINSVILLE, IL- Ramon W. Howell, 24, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 in Collinsville, IL. Ramon was born April 23, 1993 in Petaluma, CA to Ramon B. Howell and Anne Pereira.

He is survived by his mother, Anne Howell of Collinsville; girlfriend, Heather Obptande of Belleville, IL; sister, Leanne  (David) Hamilton of Worden, IL; nephew, Kolton and niece, Lila; maternal grandmother, Elaine Castegnaro of Collinsville, IL, maternal grandfather, William (Berit) Pereira of California, paternal grandmother, Joan (Aaron) Robichaux of Arkansas; and aunt, Shirley Tyson of California.

Ramon was preceded in death by his father, Ramon B. Howell, step-grandfather, Jerry Castegnaro; paternal grandfather, Raymond B. Howell; and uncle, Norman Tyson.

Ramon was a volunteer firefighter for Hollywood Heights Fire Department, and most recently for State Park Fire Department. He was dedicated to his work and was able to rescue and save the lives of 8 people throughout his time with the department.  He also worked for McLanahan Towing in Collinsville, IL. He loved to ride 4-wheelers and spend time with his family. Ramon will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

VISITATION: A visitation for Ramon will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 from 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, IL.

FUNERAL: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. at Alpha and Omega Church in Collinsville, IL. There will be a time of gathering before the service. Pastor Ron Habermehl will officiate.
