IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Randall "Randy"
Cox
August 11, 1969 – March 25, 2020
Randall Wayne "Randy" Cox Jr., 50, of Collinsville, Illinois, died in his sleep at his home on March 25, 2020.
He was born August 11, 1969, on Fort Sill, Okla., to Randall Wayne Cox Sr. and Marilyn Kay Stone. He was married to the love of his life, Michelle Brown Cox. An avid gardener, extraordinary musician, and comedian, Randy was a loving and faithful husband, father, brother and friend, as well as the best stay-at-home GuitPa to his adored granddaughter Margaux Rory.
Randy made many poor decisions during his life but re-dedicated his life to God in 2016, ensuring his shadowed past would not follow him into the afterlife. Because of this, and the love he had for his wife and children, he began his transition to an angel long before his passing.
He is survived by his loving wife and partner in his adventures, Michelle Cox; daughter, Whitney Mayberry-Crane; three sons, Kyle (Samantha) Cox, Layton (Madi) Cox and Trystyn Brannan; two brothers, Chris (Jessica) Cox and Jeramy Cox; seven grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was also survived by special sister- and brother-in-law, Kortney and Monte Brand and sister-in-law Whitney Hargrave.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved grandmother Pauline Cox, as well as his paternal grandfather and maternal grandparents. He will be joined in his new adventures in Heaven by his treasured pets Angel, Astall, and ZigZag.
