Ray Morris, 87, of Collinsville passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. He was born on November 14, 1929 in East St. Louis, IL.to Bernie Morris and Lucille, nee Younger, Stutsman.
He married Catherine Wilma Pashia on May 2, 1953; she preceded him in death on September 29, 2014.
Ray is survived by his three daughters, Linda (Michael) Hester of Collinsville, IL, Debi Ralston of Collinsville, and Teresa (Scott) Morris-Simon of Ft. Meyers, FL; three granddaughters, Tiffany Morris-Simon, Stephanie Ralston, and Jennifer Ralston; and one great-grandson, Malachi Oliver.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma and his parents.
Ray proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany during the Korean conflict.
He worked as an operator for Continental Grain Co. in East St. Louis, IL. After his retirement, he worked several years for the Collinsville Community Unit School District 10 as bus monitor and crossing guard.

VISITATION: A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. -12:00 P.M. at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville.
FUNERAL: A funeral for Ray will be held following the visitation, at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Father Roger Karban will officiate. Private interment will be held at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
