Raymond Nekola, 76, of Glen Carbon IL, died Saturday June 4, 2016.
Raymond was born on February 6, 1940, in Granite City IL. He was preceded in death by his wife Ina and his parents John and Adella nee Wagner Nekola. Also preceding him was his son Martin Kovarik.
He is survived by his daughter Vicki Earney of Wood River; his brothers Robert and Linda Nekola of Collinsville IL, and Kenny Nekola of Wisconsin; a sister Annette Nekola of Wisconsin; his grandchildren Lauren Kizer, Amanda Kizer, Brian Kovarik, and Cassey Hawkins and his great-grandchildren Cailee, Caiden, Anthony, and Chloie Kizer. 12 additional great-grandchildren also survive.
There will be no services per Raymond's request. Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorials may be made to any no-kill animal shelter of your choice.
Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Dr., Glen Carbon, is in charge of arrangements.
