Raymond W. Schneider, age 86 of Worden, IL, passed away at 2:00 a.m. on Saturday October 5, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Edwardsville, IL on Sunday, July 31, 1927, the son of Walter and Claire (Fredericks) Schneider. He married Lois J. Hooks on June 1, 1947. She preceded him in death.

Raymond worked for the L & M Railroad, and he was then a welding foreman for Laclede Steel.

Survivors include a son, William Schneider of Bunker Hill, IL; a daughter, Pat Dustman of Mount Pleasant, SC; 3 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents.

Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Fund.

Private Family services will be held. Interment will take place at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Glen Carbon, IL.
