Richard Mcgee's Obituary
Richard L. McGee, 88, of Granite City, IL, passed away on January 14, 2018 at University Health Care Center in Edwardsville, IL.
He worked and retired from Alton Southern Railroad for 43 years. He was of the Catholic faith.
Richard was born on July 16, 1929 in Venice, IL to Daniel W. and Mable (nee, Tosh) McGee. He married Myrtle Harman on December 11, 1972 in Granite City, IL. She preceded him in death on May 8, 2004.
He is survived by his children, Patricia Rose (Vinnie) McKenna of Washington and Richard (Jan) L. McGee Jr. of Colorado, his sister-in-law, Ruby Kessinger, his nephew, Ken and Marianne McGee of St. Charles, MO and special friends, Marty and Nancy LeVault and his Park Grill family.
SERVICE: A graveside service for Richard will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon, IL. Sunset Hill Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.herrfuneral.com.
