Richard E. Mordis Sr., 66, of Collinsville, Ill., born Jan. 29, 1945, in Harris, Tenn., died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.



Richard was preceded in death by his parents, John W. and Jewel, nee Rushing, Mordis; a daughter, Julie Ann Mordis; two sisters, Linda Faye Mordis and Debbie Graham; four brothers, Jimmie D. Mordis, Chester Mordis, Elton Mordis and Glenn Mordis; a sister-in-law, Judy; and a brother-in-law, Ed.



Surviving are a daughter, Ginger (Tony Mooney) Masslon of Belleville, Ill.; two sons, Eric Mordis of Harrisburg, Mo., and Richard Mordis Jr. of Belleville, Ill.; three brothers, John (Betty) Mordis of Fairview Heights, Ill., Lexie Mordis of St. Anne, Mo., and Gary (Ann) Mordis of Collinsville, Ill.; two sisters, Joy Dietzel of Troy, Ill., and Pat (Edward) Tracy of Maryville, Ill.; five grandchildren, Frankie Mordis, Ashley Utrera, Christian Williams, Rochelle Nuckolls, and Ricky Mordis III; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Pat and Donna.
