Richard S. Vojas Sr., 77, of Collinsville, Ill., born Saturday, Feb. 19, 1938, in Staunton, Ill., passed away at 10:57 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.

Richard served in the U.S. Armed Forces and retired from Boeing Aircraft as a quality control inspector. He was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary V., nee Durbin, Vojas, whom he married on Nov. 18, 1961; and his parents, Stanley and Hilda, nee Kuc, Vojas.

Surviving are his three sons, Richard S. (Yvonne) Vojas Jr., of Collinsville, Ill., Mark (Kara) Vojas of Collinsville, Ill., and Tom (Sonja) Vojas of Collinsville, Ill.; 13 grandchildren, Thomas, Alyssa, Samantha, Kailey, Richard III, Michael, Jennifer, Mark, Brittany, Matthew, Emily, Aidan, and Sophia; a sister, Kathy (Donald) Brown of Staunton, Ill.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 25, 2015, at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill., and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, Ill. Rosary will be at 3:15 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father John Beveridge officiating. Burial will be in Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
