COLLINSVILLE- Rita J. (Benyr) Cloin, 89, of Collinsville, IL, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon, IL.

Rita was born July 7, 1929 in East St. Louis, IL to Edgar and Anna (Barthelemy) Reiss. She married Harry "Bob" Benyr; who preceded her in death August 22, 1975. She then married Charles Cloin on December 22, 1979. He survives and resides in Collinsville, IL.

She had many interests, including golfing with Chuck, bowling and making fond memories traveling.  Rita was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was a lifelong member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.  She will forever be in the hearts and missed dearly by all who loved her.

Also surviving are her children, Bill (Vicky) Benyr of Fairmont City, IL, Mark Benyr of Schaumburg, IL, Patty (Jim) Mazzaro of Schaumburg, IL, Cheryl (Rusty) Brombolich of Collinsville, IL and stepson, Charles (Vickie) Cloin of Collinsville, IL; ten grandchildren, BJ (Mandi) Benyr of Swansea, IL, Nathan Benyr of Schaumburg, IL, Shaun (Samantha Vandaveer) Benyr of Fairmont City, IL, Melissa (Nate) Reuck of Wentzville, MO, Courtney Brombolich of Crestwood, MO, Caitlyn Brombolich of Collinsville, IL, Jim (Liz) Mazzaro of Naperville, IL, Michelle (Kevin) Layton of Elmhurst, IL, Bill (Tina) Cloin of O'Fallon, IL, and Scott (Jen) Cloin of Highland, IL; thirteen great-grandchildren, Braden Benyr, Maia Benyr, Addison Benyr, Andrew Benyr, Rylee Reuck, Landon Reuck, Cadence Brombolich, Bella Mazzaro, Jimmy Mazzaro, Fiamma Layton, Bianca Layton, Madelina Cloin and Elliana Cloin.

Along with her husband Harry "Bob" Benyr and her parents Edgar & Anna Reiss, Rita was preceded in death by her twin brother, Robert Reiss.

Visitation:  Friends and family may visit 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, IL.

Funeral:  Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, IL., with Father John Beveridge officiating.  Graveside services will follow at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery.
