Robert Alan Burlew Jr., 62, of Caseyville, Ill., born April 24, 1950, in St. Louis, Mo., died at 8:12 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, at his residence.

Mr. Burlew was a member of the Polish American War Veterans, a Marshall at the Arlington Golf Course and an avid golfer and had many special friends. He was retired from Illinois Bell after 30 years of service. He was a graduate of Assumption High School.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Burlew Sr.

Surviving are his mother, Helen, nee Konopka, Burlew of Elsberry, Mo.; sister, Maryann Zwick of Elsberry, Mo.; nephew, Heath Zwick of Elsberry, Mo.; and many special friends.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at noon Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at the funeral home with Father Ray Schultz officiating. Burial with military honors by the Polish American War Veterans will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
