COLLINSVILLE, IL- Robert D. Case, 75, of Collinsville, IL, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018 at his residence.

He was born on January 17, 1943 in Centreville, IL to Charles C. and Opal L. (Fields) Case. He married Lillian L. Wrigley on April 30, 1966 in Collinsville, IL. She survives and resides in Collinsville, IL.

Also surviving are two children, Christine L. (Dwayne) Smith of Granite City, IL and Todd C. Case of Collinsville, IL; two grandchildren, Drake R. Smith and Alivia Brooke Case; and one brother, Donald A. Case of Freeburg, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister-in-law, Glenda Case.

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserve. He worked for Continental Can Company in St. Louis as a press adjuster and setup man for 34 years, before retiring in 1995.

He loved to fish and spend time outdoors. Robert enjoyed the time spent with his son, Todd, while they were hunting geese, duck, deer, turkey and mushrooms. Robert and Lillian enjoyed traveling and took numerous trips together. Robert was of the Baptist faith. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

VISITATION: A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 4:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M.  at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, IL.

FUNERAL: A funeral will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.  Pastor John Heater will officiate. Interment will be at St. John Cemetery in Collinsville, IL.
