Robert C. Niebling Sr.

Robert C. Niebling Sr., 90, of Edwardsville, Ill., born May 12, 1927, in St. Louis, Mo., obtained his life''s goal in being with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, November 21, 2017, in Glen Carbon, Ill.

Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He retired as a machinist in the School of Engineering at Washington University in 1989 after thirtytwo years of dedicated service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin P. and Rose, nee Schmeiderer, Niebling; his daughters, Pristene Jackson and Barbara Towell; his sister, Charlotte Walk.

He is survived by his dear wife of 67 years Mary, nee Moss, Niebling; his children, Robert (Linda) Niebling Jr. of Edwardsville, Ill., Cathy (Phillip) Winters of Maryville, Ill., Malyn McCann of Maryville, Ill., David Niebling of Clarksville, Tn., Anna (Greg) Carrow of Edwardsville, Ill.; 24 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Friends may visit with the family 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2017, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services for Robert will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home with burial to follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates.
