Robert Henry Ripley, 74, 0f O'Fallon, Illinois passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023. He was born on March 25, 1949 in East St. Louis, Illinois to parents Robert W. and Seaeca (nee Stoyanoff) Ripley.

Robert was an avid traveler and, among many trips, he enjoyed his travels to Australia, Romania, China, Tahiti, and, most of all, Disney World. He graduated from Collinsville High School and Rolla School of Mines.  He founded International Quality Services in August of 1997 and worked as an ISO auditor. He was an active member of the American Society for Quality and the International Register of Certified Auditors. Robert enjoyed restoring the family's 1954 MG TF, scuba diving, photography and used his creativity to create a Christmas card scavenger hunt every year.  He was well known for sharing his love of chocolate chip cookies by baking and giving them to family and friends. He was humorous and giving, and spent much of his time volunteering for the St. Louis Zoo, which he had been doing since 1995.  Robert was a kind, fun-loving man, who will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert W. and Seaeca Ripley.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Tinna Whiteside (Daniel); partner, Alice Ripley; nephews, Tyler and Jason (Cheri) Whiteside; niece, Andria (Ryan) Steele; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services for Robert will be held at Herr Funeral Home at 501 W. Main Street in Collinsville, Illinois on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. Family will receive guests from 5:30pm-7:00pm, with a memorial service at 7:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Habitat for Humanity or the St. Louis Zoo.
