Roland H. Langston, 82, of Granite City, Ill., born September 7, 1930, in Arkansas, died Friday, February 15, 2013, at Eden Village Care Center, Glen Carbon, Ill.
Mr. Langston was a U.S. Army Korean war veteran and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvie Lee and Edny Alice, nee Kackley, Langston; a brother, Bobby Langston; and a sister, Gladys Burewer.
Surviving are his wife, Helen, nee Hale, Langston of Granite City, Ill., whom he married May 5, 1956; two daughters, Alice Langston of Edwardsville, Ill., and Daisy A. (Victor) Juarez of Springfield, Ill.; a son, Roland V. (Laurie) Langston of Phoenix, Ariz.; his siblings, Nadine Kelly of Michigan, Betty Quinn of Mississippi, Shirley Warman of Michigan, Mellie Wesaw of Michigan, Larry Langston of Granite City, Ill., Billy Langston of Arkansas, Linda Hale of St. Louis, Mo., Faye Smody of Missouri and Patricia Hewitt of Arkansas; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
