Ronald "Ron" L. Capstick, 69, of Collinsville, IL, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, July 7th, 2026. 

Ron was born on August 29th, 1956, in E. St. Louis, IL, to parents, Arthur and Edith Capstick. He was a proud graduate of Collinsville High School, and was a familiar face to many during his years working in the retail industry. In his spare time, he loved being outdoors, especially enjoying time spent fishing. Aside from tossing a line out, he was also known to be quite the gun enthusiast. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Capstick, Jr. and his mother, Edith Capstick, nee Reeder. 

Ron is survived by his brother, Arthur (Nancy) Capstick, III, of Carthage, MO; brother, Thomas (Sharon) Capstick of Alhambra, IL; nephew, Joshua (Erin) Capstick of Bethalto, IL; nephew, Alex Capstick of Alhambra, IL; great nieces, Olivia Capstick and Saylor Capstick; and great nephew, Jackson Capstick. 

Honoring his wishes, Ron will be cremated with a small graveside service held at St. John's Cemetery in Collinsville, IL, at a future date.
