Ronald Louis Schikowski, 66, of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away Monday, March 14th, 2016 in Clearwater, Florida with his family at his side. He was born Friday, December 16th, 1949 in E. St. Louis, Illinois to Robert Louis and Ruth (Harris) Schikowski. Ronald was married to Debra Himmaugh for 41 years.

Ronald is preceded in death by his father, Robert.

He is survived by his mother, Ruth, his wife Debra, daughter, Heather (Scott) Giacoletto of Troy, Illinois, son, Sean (Emily) Schikowski of Collinsville, Illinois, sisters; Judy (Jim) Mentz of Collinsville, Illinois, Donna (Ron) Bontz of Edwardsville, Illinois, and grandchildren, Grace and Gabriel Giacoletto of Troy, Illinois.

Ron was a retired Civil Servant from Scott Air Force Base. He had served in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne.

Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, March 21st, 2016 at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, Illinois. Funeral will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 22nd, 2016 at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, Illinois. Rites of Cremation will be accorded.
