Rosalie Marie Tarr, nee Digirolamo, 84, of Collinsville, Ill., born March 1, 1928, in Collinsville, Ill., died at 8:35 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.



Rosalie retired as a nurses aid from Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill., and was a member of the Meadow Heights Baptist Church in Collinsville, Ill. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.



She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Pet Irene, nee Gibbs, Digirolamo; a sister, Mary Becker; a brother, Alex Digirolamo; and three grandchildren.



Surviving are her husband, Ernest Tarr whom she married on March 9, 1946; her children, Rosemary (Daniel) Lilley of Highland, Ill., Ernest (Tammy) Tarr of Collinsville, Ill., Frank (Barb) Tarr of Collinsville, Ill., Michael (Patsy) Tarr of Marmaduke, Ark., Linda (Dale) Huff of Troy, Ill., Patricia Wallis of Collinsville, Ill., Sandy (Dale Redman) Steed of Winona, Mo., Rick (Cindy) Tarr of Collinsville, Ill., and Carol (Jim) Butters of Houston, Texas; 26 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Meadow Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Barnes and Rev. Jim Donahue officiating. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
