Rose Marie Stieler, nee Hawks, 93, of Glen Carbon, Ill., born April 2, 1918, in Granite City, Ill., died at 4:26 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at Eden Village Care Center, Glen Carbon, Ill.



Mrs. Stieler was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and a championship bowler.



She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charles W. Stieler whom she married on April 24, 1941, and who died in 1991; her parents, Thomas and Bernadine, nee Jones, Hawks; and her brother, Richard Nichols.



Surviving are her sons, Thomas D. (Ann) Stieler of Powhatan, Va., and Charles C. (Candy) Stieler of Johnson City, Tenn.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her sister, Edith Reinhardt of Edwardsville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012, at the funeral home with Deacon Dan Corbett officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Glen Carbon, Ill.
