Ruby J. Black-Spiker, nee Looney, 88, of Collinsville, Ill., born Saturday, March 6, 1926, in Qulin, Mo., passed away at 11:42 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.
Ruby was with the St. Peter's Day Care for 20 years in Caseyville, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hulin C. Black; second husband, William Spiker; daughter, Pamela Black; parents, Jesse and Madge, nee Cooper, Looney; a sister, Lawanda "Lady Bug" Goodman; brothers, Bill Looney and Dickey Barnes; and two grandchildren.
Surviving are her son, Gregory (Janetta) Black of Collinsville, Ill.; daughters, Deborah (Richard Thomason) Black of Glen Carbon, Ill., and Barbara (Tom) Rock of Godfrey, Ill.; sisters, Imogene Hester of Brosley, Mo., and Geneva Cole of Collinsville, Ill.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, at the funeral home with Rev. Jonathan Winterfeldt officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
