Ruth E Patton, nee McCaslin, 97, of Chesterfield, Mo., born on Sept. 3, 1915, in East St. Louis, Ill., died at 3:25 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, in Glen Carbon, Ill.

Mrs. Patton was of the Methodist faith.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Eula, nee Mann, McCaslin; a sister, Dorothy Hammond; and a granddaughter, Amanda Moon.

Surviving are her son, Leonard D. Patton of Chesterfield, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Sarah Patton of Chesterfield, Mo.; grandson, Lt. Col. Christopher Patton; sister, Viola Hightower of Edwardsville, Ill.; and four great-grandchildren.
