Ruth Roan, 75, of Granite City, IL., born March 24, 1943, in Granite City, IL., passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018, in Granite City, IL.She was a loving and dedicated home maker for her family.  She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Ruth's hobbies included playing bingo, cooking and making her own recipe books.

She was preceded in death by her dear husband George Roan whom she married February 19, 1983, and passed away September 2, 2016; her father Edward Jarman; her mother Marie Jarman; her step-mother Elsie Jarman.

Surviving are her children, Mike (Julie) Coad of Troy, IL., David Coad of Wood River, IL., Pamela Coad of Edwardsville, IL., Kimberly (Larry) Beyer of Granite City, IL., Paul (Jennifer) Roan of Virginia Beach, VA.; her twenty eight grandchildren & twenty great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in honor of Ruth may be given to American Kidney Foundation  and can be received at Sunset Hill Funeral Home.

Visitation:  Friends may visit with the family 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, IL.

Funeral:  Funeral services for Ruth will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2018, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, IL.  Burial will follow the service at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates. Glen Carbon, IL.
