Ruth E. Scown, nee Wagener, 84, of Collinsville, Ill., born Sept. 27, 1926, in St. Louis, Mo., died at 7:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011, at her residence.
Mrs. Scown was preceded in death by her parents, William and Pearl, nee Chott, Wagener; son, Joe Scown; sister, Pearl Boeger; and brother, Norville Wagener.
Surviving are her husband, Roy Scown of Collinsville, Ill.; daughter, Laura Kelley of Mesa, Ariz.; sons, Rod Scown, Ed Scown and Lee Scown, all of Collinsville, Ill.; and grandson, Jeremey Scown of Holiday Shores, Ill.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.herrfuneral.com.
Funeral: At Ruth's request, no services will be held and cremation will be held.
