Samuel Wrigley Jr. of Swansea, Ill. passed away in Belleville, Ill. on Monday January 9, 2017. He was born on October 5, 1930 in Caseyville, Ill. the son of the late Samuel and Elizabeth nee Burrelsman Wrigley Sr. He was also preceded by his first wife Audrey nee Whittington Wrigley, one sister Bernice Shaeffer and one sister in infancy Verna.
Samuel retired as a truck driver and worked for Texaco Oil. He loved to travel and enjoyed camping, hiking, riding his bicycle and bowling. He also attended St. Matthew Methodist Church in Belleville, Ill. He also served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean conflict.
Samuel is survived by his wife Carol nee Snider, his children Elon (Larry) Brooks of Caseyville, Ill., Sue (John) Johnson of Maryville, Ill., Jim (Diana) Wrigley of Collinsville, Ill., Ron (Debra) Wrigley of Pensacola, Flo., Bernice (Ray) Varady of University City, Mo and Samuel (Barb) Wrigley III of Godfrey, Ill. Step Children Diane (Gary) Schwendeman of Belleville, Ill., Daniel (Suzanne) Killgrove of Antioch, Ill, David (Lori) Killgrove of McClure, Ill. and Regina Williams of Red bud, Ill. Also grandchildren Sarah Gruchala, Katie Errett, John Johnson III, Leah Johnson, Falon Wrigley-Awad, Kristy Wrigley-Durer, Becky Wrigley, Jessica Wrigley, Heather Varady, Hayley Wrigley, Amanda Burgraff, Kimberlee Clement, Ian Brooks and Erik Brooks. Also several great grandchildren.

Visitation: Friends may call at the Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, Ill. on Thursday January 12, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Service: Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday January 12, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Patton officiating. Interment to follow immediately at Caseyville Cemetery.
