Sandra M. Cochran 77, of Collinsville, IL passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO after a brief sudden illness.

Sandra was born on January 17, 1945 in St. Louis, MO, to Ervin and Marie (nee Laub) Friedrich.

Sandra loved to spend time with her family and also loved to entertain.  She often had an open invitation to anyone who wanted to come and hang out at her pool.  She also loved to cook and loved to garden and work in her yard.

Sandra started her career as a beautician, then became a stay-at-home mom when her girls were younger.  Once they were old enough, she worked outside the home at Blue Cross Blue Shield of MO processing claims.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard (Ed) Cochran, and her brother Ervin (Bud) Friedrich.

She is survived by her daughters Robin (Val) Burgess of Swansea, IL , Kim (Mike) Hasamear of Collinsville, IL, one sister, Shirley Barbee of Collinsville, IL, Grandchildren, Zachary (Elly) Lawrence of Bridgeton, MO; Joshua (Mackenzie) Hasamear, of O'Fallon, IL and Logan Burgess of Lawrence, KS; as well as 4 great grandchildren; Brayden Strait of Bridgeton, MO; Isla Hasamear, Drew Hasamear, and Shepherd Hasamear of O'Fallon, IL.  Sandra is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews and family friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Drive, Glen Carbon, IL.
Funeral Services will begin at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Father Mike Haag officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Glen Carbon, IL
