IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sharon Sue
Jacobs
August 27, 1962 – May 2, 2024
Sharon Sue Jacobs, 61, of Troy, Illinois passed away on May 2, 2024. She was born to Virginia (Bradley) and Forest Jacobs on August 27, 1962 in Washington, Indiana.
Sharon grew up in Loogootee, Indiana with three brothers. She was happy, positive and caring. She was always a people person. She enjoyed long drives, going to the zoo, trips to parks, and holding babies. She had a passion for sweet tea with lemon.
Her favorite thing was being with her family. Family meant everything to her. In September of 1997 she met the love of her life, Bobby Lee Beckenbach, and they enjoyed over 20 happy years together until his passing on May 6, 2018. Sharon was extremely family oriented and embraced their big blended family with open arms, both literally and figuratively, as she was known for her signature group hugs. She hosted family gatherings and truly found joy in seeing her loved ones happy. She was the ultimate caretaker and put everyone else first. She always wanted to make sure that her children, and other loved ones, were good and doing well.
Throughout her life, Sharon worked in customer service because she found joy in interacting with people and taking care of others. She made an impact everywhere she went. In recent years, she worked at the ZX in Troy and was deeply loved by other employees and customers alike. Her passing has left a void and the small community is grieving her loss. She made everyone feel supported and loved in her own special way. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Those left to cherish Sharon's memory are her mother Virginia Ann Jacobs, children Dennis Lee Jenne III, Shane Michael (Catie) Jenne, and Bria Ann Beckenbach, brothers Bob, Denny, and Don, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many more family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Forest, spouse Bobby and son-in-law Rick.
A visitation will be held at 9:30am with a funeral service at 10:00am on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Herr Funeral Home, 501 W. Main St. Collinsville, Illinois.
