Shelby Davidson, 81, of Caseyville, Illinois passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023. Shelby was born in Alicia, Arkansas on May 28, 1941 to parents Frank Tucker and Myrtle Jane (Wadkins) Davidson.

Shelby was an Avionic Installer for Midcoast Aviation as well as a veteran, serving in the Army (Germany), Air Force (Vietnam) and Missouri Air National Guard. He was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed photography, genealogy and spent many years researching and building his family tree. He was an avid reader, hobbyist, grandpa and was quite a trickster.

Shelby is survived by the love of his life, his wife of over 50 years, Margaret Davidson, and his four children; daughters Sabina (Keith) Button of Independence, MO, Shelby (Chris) Harvel of Topeka, KS and sons, Sheldon Davidson (Sara) of Caseyville, Shawn Davidson, his brother Barry Davidson of Jacksonville, AR, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

Shelby is preceded in death by his parents, 6 sisters and a brother.

Visitation will be Monday, January 23rd  at 10:00 AM,services to follow at 11:00 AM at Herr Funeral Home. Graveside at 1:00 PM at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the Dementia Society of America.
