Shirley Bruns, 93, of Collinsville, IL passed away on November 28, 2022.  Shirley was born in Collinsville, IL on October 27, 1928 to parents Bernard & Verna (Dressel) Strain.

Shirley graduated from Collinsville High School where she met the love of her life Homer (Bus) Bruns and spent many wonderful years together.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Homer (Bus) Bruns and her parents.  She leaves behind her nephew Don Willaredt and numerous nieces and nephews.  Shirley enjoyed dogs and loved all animals, she will be missed.

Visitation will be held on December 7, 2022 at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, IL from 10:00 a.m., to 11:00 a.m., with a funeral service to start at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
