COLLINSVILLE- Shirley J. Steinwagner, 76, of Collinsville, IL passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Barnes-JewishHospital in St. Louis, MO.

She was born October 4, 1941 in East St. Louis to Stanley and Dorothy (Musso) Pilkus. She married James Steinwagner on June 27, 1959 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville, IL. He survives and resides in Collinsville, IL.

Also surviving are her children, Cheryl (Jim) Kimutis of Collinsville, IL, Jim Steinwagner Jr. of Collinsville, IL, Susan (Dwayne) Crossman of Claremont, MA, Laura (Brian) Winter of Collinsville, IL and Amy (Nathan) Welser of Maryville, IL; grandchildren, Ashley (Dan) Dickhans, Peter (Marissa) Degenhardt, Drew (Audra) Steinwagner, Hailey Kyrouac, Tom Steinwagner, Ella Winter, Luke Welser, Chloe Winter, Grace Welser, Jake Welser, Courtney Kimutis, Joey Crossman, Jeremiah Crossman, Justina Crossman and Justice Crossman; great-grandchildren, Mia Degenhardt, Oliver Dickhans, Jayden Crossman, Reagan Crossman, and Devon Crossman; siblings, Stan (Chris) Pilkus of New Baltimore, MI, Bobby Pilkus of O'Fallon, IL, and brother-in-law, Fred Fredericks of Collinsville, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Teresa Fredericks.

Shirley was a devoted homemaker. She was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville, IL. Shirley adored her family and cherished the time she was able to spend with them. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

VISITATION: A visitation for Shirley will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 4:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, IL. A prayer service will be held prior to the visitation, at 3:30 P.M.

FUNERAL: A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery in Collinsville, IL.
