Shirley Ruth Beanland, 80, formerly of Collinsville, IL, died December 28th, 2015 in Glen
Carbon, IL. She was born November 7th, 1935 to William and Ruth Hilder Elizabeth
(Johnson) Umstattd Jr. She married Howard D. Beanland June 6th, 1954.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son-in-law, Steve Niemaczek, one brother William (Bill) Umstattd.

She is survived by children; Roger W. (Linda) Beanland, Cheryl A.(late Steve) Niemaczek, Ralph E. (Linda) Beanland, Carol D. (Scott) Smith, Dr. Rex H. (Dr. Sarah Schaffner) Beanland, and Ron D. (Christine) Beanland. She is further survived by brother, Richard (Chrys) Umstattd and sister-in-law, Marjorie (late Bill) Umstattd, thirteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and her feline companion, Sara.

Shirley was a baker, school bus driver, a Great Mother and Grandmother. She believed in and supported the National Audobon Society and the Defense of Wildlife and was a member of United Methodist Church of Collinsville, IL.

Visitation and funeral service was held at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, IL on Saturday, January 2nd, 2016 with interment at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, IL.
