Stanley Dean Barnes, 81, of Troy, Ill., formerly of Collinsville, Ill., born Aug. 21, 1930, in Bluff City, Ill., died at 12:45 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2012, at his home.



Mr. Barnes was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 712 AF & AM in Collinsville. He retired from the parts department at Steve Schmidt Chevrolet in Highland, Ill.



Stanley was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene, nee Johnson, Barnes, whom he married on Feb. 16, 1960; parents, Roscoe and Nellie, nee Oliver, Barnes; two brothers and two sisters.



Surviving are his son, Steven (Kelly) Barnes of Troy, Ill.; daughters, Cindy (Tom) Wolf of Collinsville, Ill., and Susan Freeman of Medamora, Ill.; grandchildren, Jared Wolf, Kristin (Brandon) Stalets, Jordan Wolf, Garrett Call, Jeremy Call, Eric Freeman, Jenna Freeman, Jamie Freeman, Jude Smith and Serena Smith; and one great-granddaughter Elayna Stalets.

Funeral: funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at the funeral home with the Rev. Roger Wright officiating. Interment in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
