Stella L. Van Hook, 91, of Collinsville, Ill., born August 9, 1924, in Collinsville, Ill., passed away Friday, July 22, 2016, at Cedar Ridge Nursing Home, Lebanon, Ill.

Stella retired from the Montgomery Ward after 20 years of dedicated service. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Collinsville, Ill., where she belonged to the Methodist Church Priscilla Circle.

She was preceded in death by her dear husband Richard Van Hook, whom she married June 29, 1946 in Collinsville, Ill.; her parents, George and Leta, nee Watson, Britt; her son, Richard G. Van Hook; her sister, Frances Kirkpatrick.

Stella is survived by her daughter, Susan Meadows (Ron Spears) of Collinsville, Ill.; her sisters, Evelyn Meni of Troy, Ill. and Ruth Manning of Florida; her grandchildren, Claire (Brad) Clark, Robert (Rolando) Van Hook, Sara Davis and Bridgett (Shawn) Yeager; and her six great grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at First United Methodist Church, Collinsville, Ill., with Rev. Mark Horn officiating. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
