Suzanne Cary (Tevebaugh) Schmitz, beloved mother and grandmother, was born on February 10 th, 1939, and died peacefully with her family around her on Sunday, May 28 th, 2023.

She is survived by her two daughters, sons-in-law, and four grandchildren: Cary and Tim Harvengt, Melanie and Andrew, and Katey and Dan Chu, Brendan and Blake.

Her husband James Schmitz preceded her in death by six years.

Sue loved her family, friends, traveling, book clubs and nature. She was happiest in the sunshine by the sea.

Her family asks that any remembrance donations you may wish to make be given to the Alzheimer's Association so that one day we might all benefit from the cessation of this disease which affects so many of our lives.

As our mother wished, our family will honor her life privately – there will be no public funeral or memorial service. Thank you.
