Obituary

Ted Massey, 78 of Edwardsville, IL passed away on January 15, 2021. He was born November 24, 1942 in Deering, MO.

To know Ted was to know a man who had the kindest heart. He was the most sincere person you could ever meet. He loved his family and worked hard to be the very best husband and father you could ask for. One of his best attributes was his passion for helping others, no matter what their situation might be.

Ted served our country in the United States Army.

Ted spent over 34 years working tirelessly with his wife and son in the real estate industry, helping to grow their business into the success it is today.

Ted and his wife Diana would've celebrated 50 years of married life together this coming April. One of the things she loved about him most was his penchant for being a child at heart, always making her and their son, Mark, laugh. Ted always did little things for his family like sending them daily affirmations to help keep their spirits up and their thoughts positive. He could also fix anything and everything – a complete jack of all trades - in the most amazing way.

Ted is survived by his loving wife Diana whom he married on April 24, 1971, son, Mark Massey (Andrew), brothers Roy Massey, and Allan Massey. Brother-in-law Mark Shamalian (Michelle), nieces, Brittany Shamalian, Amy Massey Kennedy and Quinn Kennedy,

Proceeded in death by his father and mother Hurse and Artie (Kelley) Massey, brothers, Jim Massey and Charlie Massey, father and mother-in-law Ted and Gladys Shamalian.

We know that his loss will be felt by friends, family, colleagues, and clients from around the world. Due to COVID, a celebration of life will be held later this year.
