Terry Coles-Thomas, 61, of Collinsville, Ill., born March 9, 1955, in Collinsville, Ill., passed away Friday, April 8, 2016, surrounded by her family.

She worked in Collinsville for many years at National Supermarket, where she served and greeted many people and made many friends. Terry also worked at Conoco-Phillips and H & R Block.

Terry was a gracious mother, aunt, friend and neighbor. She was always welcoming people into her home and family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Philip Coles Jr.; her mother, Martha Marie Coles, nee Thomas; and a brother, Harry Philip Coles III.

Surviving are her daughters, Lyndsey Johnson of Collinsville Ill., and Brandi Thomas of Collinsville Ill.; a sister-in-law, Judith Coles of Kansas City, Mo.; nieces, Abby Coles and Amy Coles; a nephew, Matthew Coles; and many "adopted" children and grandchildren.

Visitation: Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday April 16, 2016, at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill.

Funeral: A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the funeral home.
