Thelma Mae (Dutton) Wuehler, nee Phelps, passed away on August 2, 2024, at the age of 97 in Glen Carbon, Illinois. Born on September 18, 1926 in White County, Illinois to Cecil Phelps and Harriet Gaul.

Thelma was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Glen D. Wuehler; her son, Larry Dutton; two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her brother, Cecil (Bud) Phelps of Granite City, Illinois; daughters, Verda Gauldin and Brenda Kruger, both of Huntsville, Texas; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great-grandchildren, who will all miss her deeply.

A funeral service will be held 10:30 am, Monday, August 12, 2024 from the Chapel of Sunset Hill Funeral Home in Glen Carbon, Illinois.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 am on Monday, August 12, 2024 till the hour of service.

Following the funeral service, Mrs. Wuehler will be laid to rest at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates.

Thelma's life was marked by her devotion to her family and church.  Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
