Theodore E. Gibbs Jr., 75 of Piasa, IL passed away peacefully at St. Anthony's Hospital, June 9, 2022.

Survived by his children; Shelly Gibbs, Sandy Gibbs, Theodore Gibbs, Sherry Gibbs; step-son Ray "Barney" (Briana) Davis and step-granddaughter Brenna D. Davis, sister; Marsha Wells; 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by his wife JoAnn I. Gibbs, his parents Theodore & Elanor (May) Gibbs Sr., and brother; Donald E. Gibbs.

Theodore was born June 22, 1946 in East St. Louis, Illinois. Veteran of the US Air Force, retired Boiler Makers Local 363 after 35 years.

He was a loving father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountains Drive, Glen Carbon, on Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, on Friday, June 24, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.

There is a celebration of life at the Alton Sports Tap after the funeral services.
