Theresa M. Bloss

Theresa M. Bloss, 87, of Fairview Heights, IL., formerly of Collinsville, IL., born July 5, 1930, in East St. Louis, IL., passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018, at the Arbors at Parkway Gardens in Fairview Heights, IL.

Theresa retired after 36 years of dedicated service from the Cahokia Unit 187 School District.  She was a past member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville, IL and a current member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fairview Heights, IL, Belleville Cursillo Movement and the Legion of Mary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph M. Hummel and Florence, nee Gilmartin, Hummel; her brothers, Joseph Hummel, Charles Hummel; her sister Viola West.

Surviving are her brothers, Paul Hummel of Polk City, FL., David Hummel of Louisville, KY; and. many nieces and nephews;

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Building Fund or Hospice of Southern Illinois.  Condolences to the family can be expressed through this online guestbook.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fairview Heights, IL. Father Jim Nall will officiate.

Per Theresa's wishes, she selflessly gifted herself to St. Louis University, School of Medicine.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the wonderful staff at the Arbors at Parkway Gardens for all their love and care.
