Thomas "Tom" L. Dill, 62, of Collinsville, Ill., born Nov. 19, 1949, in Belleville, Ill., died at 10:28 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at his residence.



Tom was employed with Home Furniture for 34 years. He was a member of VFW Post 5691 in Collinsville, a U.S. Army veteran and a lifelong Collinsville resident.



He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary, nee Cline, Dill Sr.; a brother, Charles "Chuck" Dill; maternal grandparents, Fred and Eva Cline; paternal grandparents, Charles and Katherine Dill; and a niece, Rachel Slovinski.



Surviving are his sister, Jackie Slovinski of Collinsville, Ill.; nephew, Matthew Slovinski of Maryville, Ill.; niece, Katherine Slovinski of Collinsville, Ill.; great-niece, Ashley Slovinski of Collinsville, Ill.; three uncles, John Cline of Troy, Ill., Roger Cline of Troy, Ill., and Floyd Dill of Valmeyer, Ill.; many cousins, co-workers, and close friends; and his best buddies, Stormy and Bud Bud.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, at the funeral home with Rev. Sherman Smith officiating. Burial will be at Reid Riggin Cemetery, Troy, Ill.
