Thomas H. McElroy, 70, of Collinsville, IL, born October 21, 1949, in East St. Louis, IL to the late Howard and Estelle Mary (nee Winski) McElroy, passed away Monday, June 1, 2020, in Maryville, IL.

Thomas was a machinist like his father. He retired after 35 years of service with McDonald Douglas/Boeing. Thomas also was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

In addition to his parents, Thomas is preceded in death by his sister, Rosemary McElroy Eversgerd.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving son, James Lyman McElroy, sister, Carol (Ricky) Standerfer; nieces, Tina Pisetta; Krista Hunter; nephew Tony Pisetta; companion of 25 years, Shirley Bovinett; and step-daughter Michelle Bovinett and Steven (Tanya) Bovinett of Caseyville, IL, 4 grandchildren, and, 2 great-grandchildren.

Private services will be conducted at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, IL. Thomas will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
