Thomas Ray Bigham, 83, of Maryville, Ill., born Saturday, Feb. 15, 1930, in Granite City, Ill., died at 7:29 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at Gateway Regional Medical Center, Granite City, Ill.
Mr. Bigham was retired after 34 years as a salesman for the Burrows Medical Supply Co. He was a deacon at the Calvary Baptist Church of Edwardsville, a volunteer interpreter at Cahokia Mounds for 25 years and an alumni of the Granite City High School class of 1947. Thomas was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge 0877, a member of the Ainad Shrine Temple and Prince of the Royal Order 32nd.
He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Bigham; daughter, Tamara Bigham Moffatt; and parents, Marion R. and Vera, nee Wetzel, Bigham.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara, nee Turner, Bigham, whom he married on Aug. 8, 1950, in Granite City; children, Thomas W. Bigham of Maryville, Ill., Rebecca Bigham Mathews of Marine, Ill., and Shelley Bigham Greenwood of Collinsville, Ill.; son-in-law, Vincent Moffatt of Nashville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Seth Moffatt, Megan Moffatt, Lindsay Ledbetter, Sam Mathews, Zane Mathews, Kara Greenwood and Tory Greenwood; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at the funeral home with Pastor Rob Schneider officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, Ill.
