Thomas W. Solomon, 79, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 10, 2025, with his beloved sister by his side.

He was born on September 22, 1946, in Paduca, Kentucky. His family made the move to Illinois when Thomas and his sister, Nancy, were children. When he was 17 years old, Thomas enlisted with the United States Navy – leading him to become a Vietnam Veteran.

He retired from the maintenance department for the VA Hospital after 20 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle. Family was also especially important to Thomas, which is evident by how he spent his final moments.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Thomas and Georgie (nee Overby) Hubbard. Surviving are his siblings, Nancy Gray, Barbara (Mike) Dufford, Dennis (Kim) Hubbard, and Gerri Richards; nephews, Kelly and Tommy Gray; as well as many more nieces and nephews.
