Timothy Raymond Hasamear , 76, of Collinsville, Ill., born Saturday, August 9, 1947, in St. Louis, Mo., died on Friday, August 18 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 56 years to Patricia, nee DiStaso; loving father to Timothy (Jennifer) and Clifford (Carrie); incredible grandfather to Taylor (Drew) Spiroff, Nicholas Hasamear and Andrew Hasamear; wonderful great grandfather to Avery Hay and Everly Spiroff; amazing brother to Michael (Barbara) Hasamear of Collinsville, Ill., Dennis (Jane) Hasamear of Millstadt, Ill., Patrick (Joan) Hasamear of St. John, Mo., and Mark (Diana) Hasamear of Chillicothe, Ill.; and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and his father, Marian and Melvin Hasamear, and his grandson, Timothy Hasamear.

Throughout Tim's life, he served the community in many different ways. He worked as a custodian for the Collinsville CUSD 10 for 23 years. Mr. Tim was the cherished custodian at Hollywood Heights Elementary School until its closing in 2009 then worked the remainder of his years as the groundskeeper at Collinsville High School. After he retired, he later became a member of the Collinsville School Board. Tim was currently serving as the Road Commissioner for Canteen Township. He had also served as a board member and longtime volunteer with Collinsville Tepee for more than 40 years. Tim had also served as a board member with the Madison County Firemen's Association. He was a retired volunteer firefighter with the State Park Fire Department. Tim also worked for the Mounds Water Department and later served as the water operator.

Celebration of Life / Memorial Service: This event will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Herr Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Fisher, OMI officiating.
