IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Todd Andrew
Hoff
February 9, 1971 – June 11, 2024
Todd Andrew Hoff, of O'Fallon, Illinois passed away, June 11th, 2024, at the age of 53. He was born to Thomas Arthur Hoff and Kathy Ann Peterson (Davidson) on February 9th, 1971.
He married his beloved wife Susan Kane in Oundle, England on September 28th 2002.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother Kathy, father Tom A. Hoff, wife Susan, daughter Kayla Hoff, brothers William N. Peterson, Tom J.R. Hoff, sister Elizabeth Hoff, and many other family members and dear friends.
Todd knew at a young age that he wanted to serve his country, telling his mother that he needed the discipline, so whilst still in Highschool he enlisted with the Marine Corps. This decision led to a successful and well decorated enlistment with the Marines. When enlisted Todd's specialties were in Imagery Analysis as well as being a Radar System Technician. During his enlistment Todd received many honors such as; the Joint Service Achievement, Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Kuwait Liberation Medal (Kuwait, Saudi Arabia), Southwest Asia Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation (x2), Joint Meritorious Unit Award (x2), Navy Unit Commendation, Letter of Commendation (x2) and Letter of Appreciation (x3). Todd received the rank of Gunnery Sergeant (GySgt), being one of the youngest to ever receive such a rank.
When Todd wasn't traveling with the Marines, he loved to travel with Susan. They spent much of their time traveling across the United States, and even traveled across parts of Europe. Todd had a passion for Formula One Racing, so much so that he would travel to watch the races in person, visiting the tracks in Montreal, Canada and Silverstone, England. On the occasions that Todd didn't get to see the races in person, he would watch them at home, and everyone knew not to call Todd when the races were on. During his time in England, Todd followed and became a big fan of the Leeds United Soccer Club, he thoroughly enjoyed watching each game.
Todd will be greatly missed by all who had the honor and pleasure of knowing him. Military Honors will be presented at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Friday, June 21st at 1:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) in Todd's Memory.
