Obituary

Tyler C. Robinson, passed away too soon on May 19, 2026 at the young age of 24. Known affectionately by all who knew him as a "gentle giant," Tyler brought an immense amount of warmth, compassion, and love into the world during his short but deeply meaningful life.

Born on February 25, 2002, Tyler grew up with a remarkably kind heart and a quiet strength. He found his greatest peace in nature, possessing a lifelong passion for the outdoors and a love for taking long, reflective walks. Alongside his appreciation for the natural world, Tyler had a keen interest in technology and always enjoyed exploring its latest advancements. Above all else, Tyler was a devoted son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. His gentlest moments were spent surrounded by the family and friends he cherished so deeply.

He is survived by his loving mother, Jennifer Black; his father, Christopher Robinson; his sister, Gabriella Black; and his brother, David Lavely. He also leaves behind his devoted grandparents, Linda and Leroy Robinson, Grandma Sandy Cseley, Wendy (Brian) Schmittling, and Greg Black; his aunts and uncles, Debbie Black, Melissa Black, Jamie Wright, Vicki Robinson, Jacob (Amber) Williams, and Zack Williams; Michelle and Chris Link, Barbra and Tom Rock; and his dear cousins,T.J, Izabel, Jose, Cassidy, Jake, Jemma, Zach, Marlee, Kingston, Dayton, Emma, Miley, Kaydan, Kyler, Trenton, and Taylor, Criag, Zack and Zoe.

Tyler was preceded in death by his beloved aunts and uncles, Katie Clayton, Joshua Williams, Jeremy Wright, and Pamela Black as well as his great-grand parents, Ruby and “grandpa Bill” William Spiker, Helen and Ivar Link, Steven Cseley, Hulin Black.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, IL. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 29, 2026, at the funeral home. Burial will follow immediately after at St. John Cemetery in Collinsville, IL.

Flowers may be sent directly to Herr Funeral Home in honor of Tyler, or a memorial donation may be made to a charity of your choice.
