Velma J. Turnbull, 99, formerly of Collinsville, Illinois passed away on
Tuesday April 25, 2017. She was born in Sullivan, Missouri on September
22, 1917 the daughter of the late Charles and Nora nee Strauser Lawrence.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard L. whom she married August
14, 1936. She was also preceded in death by one son Gary L., a brother Joseph Lawrence, and sisters Helen Scheman and Sherlie Lawrence.
Velma is survived by her children Leonard L. (Donna) of O''Fallon, Ill.,
Patricia J. of Springerville, Arizona, Robert C. (Jeannette) of Collinsville, Ill.,
James C. (Wilma) of British, Columbia, Dennis L. (Shelly) of Ocalla,
Washington and Pamela Sue of Ocalla, Washington. She is also survived by a brother Vernon Lawrence of Lake City, Florida and two sisters Pauline Hecht and Audrey Thurmond of Sullivan, Missouri. Several grand and great grandchildren.
