Verena B. Dochwat, nee Friederich, 94, of Hardin, Ill., born Feb. 19, 1920, in Mascoutah, Ill., died Friday, April 25, 2014, at Calhoun Nursing Home and Rehab, Hardin, Ill.

Mrs. Dochwat was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Dochwat; her son, Stephen C. Dochwat; her parents, Henry C. and Emelia, nee Isert, Friederich; and two sisters, Pauline Emke and Marie Wagner.

Surviving are her daughter, Rose Ann (Joe) Bylo of Hardin, Ill.; two sisters, Emelia Emke of St. Charles, Mo., and Margaret Toennies of Belleville, Ill.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
