Vernice A. "Niecie" Keuss, nee Rausch, 92, of Fairview Heights, Ill., born April 30, 1921, in Chico, Calif., died at 3:20 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
Vernice was a life long member of St John United Church of Christ, and the organist in the church for over 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J. Henry and Nettie Mae, nee Davis, Rausch; and her daughter, Debra Karchuck; brothers, Ralph and Lyle Rausch, and Donald, Charles and Durwood Thomas; and her sister, Lucille Sears.
Surviving are her husband, Edward H. Keuss, whom she married on April 30, 1938; her children, Edward (Sandra) Keuss of Sauget, Ill., Leah (Henry) Horner of Collinsville, Ill., Karen Clymer of Collinsville, Ill., and Kim (Robert) Mross of Ormond Beach, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at St. John United Church of Christ, with Pastor Jim Nolan officiating. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
