Vernon Michael Lancey, 58, of Caseyville, Ill., born June 26, 1953, in St. Louis, Mo., passed away at 9:22 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2012, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.



Mr. Lancey was preceded in death by his parents, Jack E. and Jean, nee Ousley, Lancey.



Surviving are his sister, Terri Bova of Caseyville, Ill.; best friend and nephew, Jack Bova of Caseyville, Ill.; brother, Jeff Lancey of Caseyville, Ill.; nieces, Kelley (Brandon Krausz) Gaultney of Collinsville, Ill., and Lyndsey Gaultney of Caseyville, Ill.; nephews, Geoffrey Lancey of Caseyville, Ill., and Kyle Lancey of Caseyville, Ill.; great-nephew, Kannon Krausz of Collinsville, Ill.; Aunt Linda of Caseyville, Ill., and daughters, Melanie and Amy.

Funeral: Services are scheduled for 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Caseyville United Methodist Church in Caseyville, Ill., with the Rev. Dave Kueker officiating. Cremation was done by request.
