Veronica M. Chitty, nee Digirolamo, 65, of Fairview Heights, Ill., born Sunday, April 20, 1947, in Alton, Ill., died at 12:17 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill.

Mrs. Chitty was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Josephine, nee Todaro, Digirolamo; and a sister, Phyllis Cherry.

Surviving Veronica are her husband, Stephen Chitty of Fairview Heights, Ill.; daughters, Jodi (Martin Pace) Digirolamo of Fairview Heights, Ill., and Ashly (Beau) Galloway of South Bend, Ind.; granddaughters, Kelsie Pace and Haylee Pace; sister, Marie (William) Eckart of Maryville, Ill., and a brother-in-law, Robert Cherry of Troy, Ill.
